A 1300 or 1800 number gives a business a single, memorable number to put on marketing, signage, and invoices, regardless of how many physical sites or staff sit behind it. A 1300 number is charged to the caller at a standard local-call rate; an 1800 number is free for the caller, with the cost carried by the business instead.
